Mushroom Pork Tenderloin

Garlic and paprika seasoned pork tenderloin is browned and sauteed with fresh mushrooms, fresh lemon juice, marjoram, salt and pepper.
Ingredients -
1 Pork Tenderloin (about 1 pound)
1 Garlic Clove, peeled
Paprika
2 tablespoons Butter
1 cup sliced Fresh Mushrooms
2 to 3 teaspoons Lemon Juice
1/4 teaspoon Dried Marjoram
Salt and Pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon All-Purpose Flour
3/4 cup Cold Water
Hot Cooked Rice
 
Preparation:

1. Rub pork with garlic and season with paprika.

2. Heat deep skillet over medium heat. Brown pork in butter.

3. Add sliced fresh mushrooms, fresh lemon juice, marjoram, salt and pepper.

4. Turn meat to coat with seasonings.

5. Cover skillet. Simmer 30 minutes, or until juices run clear.

6. Remove from heat.

7. In small bowl, combine flour and cold water. Mix thoroughly.

8. Stir into the pan juices.

9. Bring to a gentle boil. Cook and stir 2 minutes, until gravy thickens.

10. Slice pork, serve with gravy and rice.

Fresh Mushrooms
While button mushrooms work very well in the recipe, do not hesitate to reach out for a heartier mushroom cap.
